Product Recommendations

I will be linking a lot of my favorite products based on catagory here as a good starting point to find what works for you. All grooming related products are listed on the grooming tab. This page contains Affiliate links, but there is no need to buy from the link. Shop around to see if you can buy something similar local. These are just things you can find from any state that I know and trust.

Treats:

Small Pet Select Healthy Snacker treats are an awesome treat option. They are made out of quality ingredients, come in five flavors, and are super safe for your rabbits. https://amzn.to/47Uts1K

Small Pet Select Dried Fruits and Veggies Sampler treats are great to keep on hand. They last longer than fresh foods so they make excellent treats when you are on the go or when you need a pet sitter. There are a lot of dried fruits and veggies on the market, but not all of them are actually safe for rabbits. These ones are all safe and well sourced so I trust them more than most. https://amzn.to/45QDCOO

Small Pet Select Herbs are a tasty thing to use as treats or food toppers. Many have additional health benefits. Once again, many unsafe options are on the market, but these are always a safe choice. https://amzn.to/3sz5uJ9

Oxbow Simple Rewards are great shelf stable treats. They come in many forms and flavors, so you can add a lot of variety to your treat rotations. https://amzn.to/45vvkfJ

Hay

I have three companies I recommend for hay. All three have multiple different kinds of hay. All three are clean, fresh, properly harvested, high quality, and rabbit safe.

Small Pet Select https://amzn.to/3EiAdfX

Oxbow https://amzn.to/3L0QxWu

Standlee can be tricky to find, so I am going to add a link for each kind that I have used.

Timothy: https://amzn.to/3EjQL7A

Alfalfa: https://amzn.to/3qUT2Tx

Orchard Grass: https://amzn.to/44vVeOX

Pelleted Feed

All of these foods meet the standard requirements for angoras. Remember that angoras require a higher protein percentage than other breeds of rabbits due to the fast growing fiber.

Nutrina Naturewise 18% Performance https://amzn.to/3EiMAZG This is what we feed all of our rabbits except for our elderly rabbits.

Kalmbach Feeds 18% Best In Show https://amzn.to/3L3Bong can be tricky to find, but those who can get it often prefer this to all other feeds.

Manna Pro Gro 18% cannot be purchased online. But it can be found at many farm supply stores and feed mills. If they carry Manna Pro brand but you cannot find the feed itself, ask customer service if they can get any in. https://www.mannapro.com/small-animal/feed/select-series-gro-formula-rabbit-food

Oxbow Select Young Rabbit Food can be used for angoras of all ages. It is one of the only feeds sold in smaller quantities that meet the protein and fiber requirements of an english angora rabbit. https://amzn.to/3YUM25y

Cages & Supplies

The hanging wire cages we have for our rabbits are the modular wire cages from KW Cages https://www.kwcages.com/cages/modular-wire-cages.html

For a good indoor cage option, I would use something like this https://www.kwcages.com/cages/house-rabbit-indoor-rabbit-cage/rabbit-space-trade-cage-36-x-24-x-20.html

If you are wanting something Hutch styled for indoor use, I have used and like this brand https://amzn.to/3Z2GxC4

For a playpen, My favorite brand is Midwest Homes. They come in multiple heights and colors and you can even get a wire roof to fit on top if your rabbit is a jumper or climber https://amzn.to/3L1G6lM

This style works best for use with potty pads: https://amzn.to/45Mg11O

First Aid/ Medical

Oxbow Natural Science Digestive Support is great to keep on hand to give to rabbits in times of stress or sickness to maintain digestive health. My Vet recommends this any time there is change in diet or schedule to prevent any stress induced illnesses. I give it to any rabbits recovering from illness or injury, and for my elderly rabbits that need the extra boost. https://amzn.to/3L0QxWu

Bene-Bac Plus Probiotic Gel is a rabbit safe Probiotic supplement to help aid in digestive health. Its good to keep this on hand for when your rabbit is sick or stressed. It is also recommended by my vet to use when traveling. https://amzn.to/3R0Rt0W

Vetericyn Plus is an antimicrobial spray and it's great for treating minor cuts and scratches on your rabbit. We use this on all of our animals any time they get any open wounds. It is a great first line of defense. Many smaller wounds that don't require a vet can be treated with just this spray.  https://amzn.to/45LdB3y

Small Pet Select Nutri-Rescue is a must have to keep on hand at the first sight of GI-stasis. https://amzn.to/47T8boP

For flea treatment, as well as mite prevetion, there is really only one safe, effective treatment reccomended by vets. That is Revulution Kitten/Puppy. You should be able to get it from your vet or most pet prescription online stores. I usually get mine here: https://www.1800petmeds.com/revolution-prod10265.html

Litter Box/ Litter

This style works best for use with potty pads https://amzn.to/45Mg11O

This is my favorite style for older or physically disabled rabbits because it is nice and large but has a low entry point making it easier to get in and out of https://amzn.to/45uBM6C

This is the main kind of litter box I use. I have several. It is spacious enough for an adult rabbit and deep enough that litter doesn't track out. https://amzn.to/3R5FsYh

I like pine pellets or newspaper pellets. They are safe if ingested in smaller quantities and don't stick to the fiber as much as most options. Here are some brands I have used and like:

Feline Pine https://amzn.to/45rjpPS

Americas Choice Bedding Pellets https://amzn.to/3R27KTu

Oxbow Eco-Straw https://amzn.to/3EeJEx8

Brands to avoid

Hartz: many recalls and poisoned pets. For this reason, any product from this brand is never in my home.

Vitacraft: Many of the ingredients in the treats are not safe for rabbits, even thought the product may be marketed for rabbits.

Wild Harvest: Same issue as Vitacraft

Kaytee: Some products are ok, like the hay and hay cubes. However, many products have seeds and nuts that are not good for rabbits, and some have preservatives I don't like seeing in my rabbits food or treats.
